Health insurance for foreigners in the Czech Republic

Health insurance for foreigners covers the cost of treatment of sudden illness or injury (out-patient care, in-patient treatment, emergency dental treatment, repatriation). It is a necessary condition for the granting of a visa. This duty is imposed on all foreigners from non-EU states by § 5 Act no. 326/1999 Coll. on residence of foreigners in the Czech Republic, as amended. 

We offer two types of insurance:

• Foreigners‘ complex medical insurance – complex care in the contractual healthcare facilities without direct payment for the cost
• Foreigner’s emergency medical care insurance – covers the cost of acute medical acts of necessary and urgent care in the contractual healthcare facilities without direct payment for the cost
